ALLEN was telling WIZARDOFBAUM aka MARK SHAPIRO that he couldnt video tape the OPEN Board meeting, wheras it is legal..
Notwithstanding any provision in the declaration, bylaws or other documents to the contrary, all meetings of the association and board of directors are open to all members of the association or any person designated by a member in writing as the member's representative and all members or designated representatives so desiring shall be permitted to attend and speak at an appropriate time during the deliberations and proceedings.
The board may place reasonable time restrictions on those persons speaking during the meeting but shall permit a member or member's designated representative to speak before the board takes formal action on an item under discussion in addition to any other opportunities to speak.
The board shall provide for a reasonable number of persons to speak on each side of an issue.
Persons attending may tape record or videotape those portions of the meetings of the board of directors and meetings of the members that are open.
The board of directors of the association may adopt reasonable rules governing the taping of open portions of the meetings of the board and the membership,
but such rules shall not preclude such tape recording or videotaping by those attending.
BOARD DIDNT WANT TO BE SEEN in front of homeowners questioning them why they couldnt use a $400,000 renovated swimming pool dues pay for and yet this group of seven homeowners, guided by MERITPM management , LOCKED 330 DUES PAYING homeowners out of using the pool off and on for the past two years,, closing it for five months at a time,,,,
all FOR A male and female mallard duck and their two chicks which is on the internet and youtube.
THE WILDLIFE CONSERVENCY , which is located five miles away in Huntington Beach, would come out and RE LOCATE the four ducks within a few hours..
HOWEVER, the Board or MERITPM didNOT DO ANYTHING despite my efforts(WHICH ARE DOCUMENTED IN BOARD PACKETS) for two years INFORMING THEM of this and the health department in 2009 and 2010 had to shut the pool down due to the duck feces being a health hazard.
This is not a horror story but one that is common,,,
THE REAL HORROR IS HAVING A BOARD THAT KNOWS THE CCRS,
