Join us in Hollywood in July 2014

I am very honored to host the 19th International Convention of the Sons of the Desert July 2-6, 2014. (Pre-convention trips will take place on Monday, June 30th and Tuesday, July 1st both leaving from the hotel.)
Location, location, location! And what a location this convention will have! The Heart of Hollywood! I have negotiated with the Loews Hollywood Hotel at Highland and Hollywood Boulevards for discounted rooms. (This was the former Renaissance Hotel.) By securing this four-star hotel, the “Laurel and Hardywood” Convention will rise to a whole new level of elegance while still maintaining and capturing the focus of our love for the Boys and Hollywood history. Loews is planning a 25 million dollar make over which will be completed by early 2014.
We will be next door to the site of this year’s Oscar ceremony, and steps away from the world-famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater, many entertainment venues, shops, restaurants and, of course, the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
At this point I have no idea how many to expect for this extra special convention. I do have a certain allotment for the rooms as it is summer time and a peak season for such a location. Securing this hotel is much like getting a hotel in the heart of Times Square. I was able to get the bargain price of $199 per night for rooms at the Hollywood Hotel. There is self-parking available for $15 a day or valet parking available for $35 a day.
You can learn more about the hotel by going here. You can learn the history of the this historic location by visiting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood_Hotel
Reservations are now open for securing rooms. People reserving will need to provide basic information such as dates, address credit card. Reservations can be made by calling (855) 563-9749 or by using the link provided below.
