Now, Dorothy has called upon Ugu the Shoemaker, once a powerful magician himself and now merely a common gray dove, to return to his old life as a cobbler and make the most beautiful pair of Emerald Slippers possible for Princess Ozma's upcoming birthday.
Meanwhile, Dr. Pipt, 'Ol Mombi and Blinkie each embark on their own journey to rediscover their magical powers and seek their revenge against those who stripped them of their powers.
Soon, all three come together in search of the Emerald Slippers created by Ugu the Shoemaker, who now finds himself equally consumed by the allure of regaining his magical powers.
