THE LIGHTHOUSE

The lighthouse stands alone day and night
Providing plane and ship their very sight
Choppy seas and thunder storm
Is the norm
But the lighthouse stands guard to protect
And never does reject
Faithful with its patrolling light
Allowing anyone its right
For the lighthouse is like you and me
Giving without question to thee
Never resting on earth
The lighthouse is like our birth
Steady through thick and thin
Avoiding the world of sin
Shining a beacon of light
Caring with all its might
The stars provide a golden path
But the lighthouse protects against natures wrath
Shine on lighthouse, shine on

WIZARD OF DIX

Dorothy Dix loved to play
and had so much to say
Her dog fluff
thought he was so tough
Fluff and Dorothy spent their days in the sun
fetching bones that Dorothy threw and such fun
One day in the woods, Dorothy ran into a tree
suddenly her world became so dark to be
Opening her eyes to a gravel road
and hearing croaks of a toad
Dorothy saw the name of the road and it was highway sixty nine
dusting herself off she began to walk down the highway in the sunshine
With Fluff by herside she walked for many a mile
skipping and always showing her smile
Along the way she met a man made of steel
and he introduced himself as a person so real
He told Dorothy he needed oil for his body so it wouldnt rust
and showed her the rust had damaged his bust
The three ventured further along and now met the broom man
who also told them of his fear of fire and thunder of which he ran
Now the four made a pact to find their cure and hope
when suddenly, they met another man named dope
Who had a tiny brain and wished he was smart
and would trade his heart for a new start
The five stopped for a rest
when attacked by flocks of pest
Mosquitos the size of a car
made sure they didnt travel far
But the broom man swept them away
to save the day
Nightime came and they bedded down to sleep in the forest they did love
when horrific sounds of wild beasts came from above
The dope shuttered with fear
and all shed a tear
A giant bear appeared with fangs so sharp and long
that the dope stood there frozen and horrifed and sang a song
Wheras the bear ran for the dope was first to stand and did no wrong
Daybreak approached for a new day
and they all went on their way
Where upon they saw a wagon on the side of the road
and to their surprise it was driven by a toad
The toad replied that if Dorothy kissed him
he would grant her any wish with a hyme
So Dorothy puckered her lips and kissed the frog
boom, the frog turned into a handsome hog
Dorothy now had any wish she wanted you see
and she thought long and hard and had a plea
Mr. Hog, she said, with baited breath so kind
May I have two wishes for I am in a different land
The frog now a hog, thought for a second and said yes my dear
for now Im back to what I was and have nothng to fear
So Dorothy smiled and said she wanted to go back home
but not alone
I want to marry the steel man who wont rust Mr. Hog
and also take , fluff, my dog
The Hog waved his two arms in the air and squealed words
that was so loud it scared all the birds
A blast of light and Dorothy awoke with the steel man in her arm
back home with fluff and full of charm
In the end, Dorothy Dix married the steel man and dinner she did fix
and through the years of bliss, she gave birth to four steel dix.

MARRIAGE

When a couple marries, they say I do
And truly mean it too
But somehow alot end before they even start
Which leaves them with a broken heart
If only they had given it time the marriage would have survived and truly shine
And both would still say you are mine
For people do act too fast
When rough times come by to even make it last
So try and give marriage a chance in life
For both did promise to love through thick and thin and strife
There will be ups and downs in life one does know
But if both think twice, the marriage will glow

WISH UPON A STAR

As I lay in my bed at night
I close my eyes and envision a sight
For though you are afar
I wish upon a star
To send my love to ye
For I do love thee
My heart pitter patters at your sight
And takes away all my pain and blight
Your beauty lies in your soul
For you to love me is my goal
So when I wish upon a star so high
I see us flying with wing in the sky
Holding and kissing your cherry lips
your mere presence and beauty can sink ships
I love you in the true essence of the word
for you are my angel who flies like a bird
When I wish upon a star that twinkles and shine
I send you my soul, spirit and being and pray to make you mine

THE WELL

The well is a place I go when Im sad
and also when Im feeling bad
It is bottomless and dark
and thats cause my life is at times stark
My soul does a freefall
and I yell out a call
But nobody hears me
or listens to ye
As I fall I await the bottom of the pit
so I can land and just sit
But that never happens you see
for the spiral is to be
The gloom and sadness prevail
as I cry out in a wail
Of grief and pain
and I feel insane
And pray it does end
before my mind does bend
Time is my savior
to this behavior
But I do not know that at first
just like knowing water will quench thirst
The well is there for most
and sadly everyones host
But experience is mans best friend indeed
helping each one of us to do a good deed
There does come a time when the well has a floor
and only then can you love thyself and adore

GEORGE BUSH AND BILL CLINTON ON TO SEE THE WIZARD OF OZ

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, and Bill Clinton were on the yellow brick road, going to see the Wizard of Oz. When they got there, the Wizard of Oz said they could each have one wish. ''I want to have brains,'' said George W. POOF! He got some brains.
''I want to have a heart,'' said Dick Cheney. POOF! He had a heart (albeit a problematic one.)

''I want to have courage,'' said Colin Powell. POOF! He had courage.

Finally it was former President, Bill Clinton's turn. ''Well, what do you want?'' asked the Wizard.

Clinton thought a moment and asked, ''Ummm... Is Dorothy around?''

THE BOOGYMAN

He comes in the night
to scare and fright
Hideous in looks
much worse then in books
And while you sleep after you have read
he is hiding under your bed
When you roll over and see the horror before your eyes
you know that it cant be lies
For the Boogyman has always been in your mind awhile
and now you cant be in denial
You close your eyes to make the horror go away
and hope it wont ever come back another day
But we all know the Boogyman is real
and definitely the real deal
So be good to others
including your sisters and brothers
And treat your parents right
for if you do, you have no need to fear the night
