I'm a director of a homeowner's association. Can you clarify the meaning of the word "adjournment?"



A.

The word has two meanings. Most commonly, it refers to the last stage of a board or shareholder's meeting when the business of the meeting is concluded and the meeting is ended, with the person presiding announcing, "The meeting is adjourned."



The term is also used if a board or shareholder's meeting is carried over to another time when unfinished business can be concluded. The second meeting is then referred to as the "adjourned meeting." Top

JUNE 21, 2011 SURFSIDE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING on duck issue wheras board was allowing four ducks to use the pool almost year round and locking out the homeowners.
 

1. NO DUE process in this board in locking 330 homeowners out of use of the pool with friends or family, etc.

2. DRAINER on video RECOMMENDED to the BOARD PRESIDENT TERIA HORNER,, and without any discussion from the other board members, to adjourn the meeting

3. DRAINER did not know that taping a meeting, either with video or any other type of machine, is LEGAL.

4. MERITPM is being paid by 330 homeowners over $45,000

5. MERITPM being a sub contractor for SURFSIDE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, is subject to the CCRs of SURFSIDE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

6. ANY PERSON under the auspcious umbrella of SURFSIDE HOMEOWERS ASSOCIATION is liable for damages caused by anyone performing duties for the association of which are not in line with the CCRS (constitution of all associations and supported by code and sterling-davis act).

Drainer is correct ,,HOWEVER, adjournment means coming back ,,,and in this case,,,Drainer used that word to Horner, who took it to call off entire meeting for the evening.

Thus, homeowners present, not educated in roberts rule of order or the meaning of the word adjournment,,created pandomonium and to incite board member charlean allen to attack a homeowner on video.

SECURITY GUARD WAS CALLED TO REMOVE MR. SHAPIRO.
