WHO IS WORLDS LARGEST COLLECTOR OF L. FRANK BAUM, AKA WIZARD OF OZ BOOKS..MARK SHAPIRO aka WIZARDOFBAUM

Mark Shapiro, Huntington Beach, California is the worlds largest collector of L. Frank Baum books with over 600 first edition/first state books.

First state books are those that had the mistakes when first printed and then when corrected, still were first editions but known as second state and any other corrections after that would be known as third state.

Shapiro has been collecting L. Frank Baum books for over 35 years having bought his first book at the Long Beach Swap meet for fifty cents and that book turned out to be The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, first edition/second state which then spawned his interest.

He is known as Wizardofbaum on Google and The Wizardofbaum on Youtube and has over 5,000 entries on his blog Wizardofbaum.

Shapiro can be contacted at wizofbeach@yahoo.com and will give free advice and appraisals.
